The short version
Reading articles does not require an account and is not tracked beyond standard, cookie-based analytics you can decline. Creating an account, posting in the community, or submitting a vendor listing means we store the specific information described below, and nothing more than that.
Account sign-in
Signing in uses Microsoft Entra External ID. We store an immutable external identity reference issued by that provider and the display name you choose. We do not use your email address as an account identifier and do not store your raw sign-in email address.
Your session is tracked with a short-lived, cryptographically opaque session cookie. We do not read its contents beyond checking that it matches a valid, unexpired session on our server.
Community activity
Threads, replies, upvotes, achievements, and your display name are public once posted, the same as any public forum. You can delete your own threads and replies from within the product. Deleted content is hidden from other members; we keep a record of the deletion itself for moderation and abuse prevention.
Moderation actions, reports you file, and reports filed against your content are visible to moderators and are not public.
Work email verification
Creating an organization requires proving control of a work mailbox at a matching domain. We send a one-time code to that address. We store a cryptographic hash of the address, the domain, and the verification timestamp, never the address itself in readable form.
Vendor directory submissions
Submitting your company for the paid vendor directory stores the company name, website, contact name, work email, description, and selected platforms as a private lead. Nothing you submit is published or shared until a paid listing review is complete, and we contact you directly using the details you provide.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand which articles and pages are useful, using standard metrics: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this.
Analytics only runs after you accept it in the cookie notice shown on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which brings the notice back. Declining does not limit anything you can read or do on the site.
Signing in sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies unrelated to analytics: a session cookie once you are signed in, and a short-lived cookie during the sign-in process itself. These are required for the site to function and are not optional.
Who else sees this data
Microsoft Entra External ID handles authentication. Google Analytics processes analytics data when you accept it. Azure Communication Services delivers the one-time email codes used for work email verification. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share community content, account data, or vendor submissions with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
Children
BizAppsVerse is a professional publication and community for people who work with enterprise business applications. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Your choices
You can decline analytics cookies at any time. You can delete your own community posts and replies from within the product. To request a copy of your account data, ask us to delete your account, or ask a question about any of this, write to privacy@bizappsverse.com.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and change the date at the top. We will not quietly expand what we collect without updating this page first.
